Stuttering is a speech disorder that causes interruptions in the rhythm or flow of speech.
Treatment for stuttering is different depending on your age. For young children, the goal is usually to eliminate stuttering altogether. For teenagers and adults the pattern becomes much harder to eliminate and instead, we focus on ways of speaking which make you less likely to stutter.
'Cluttering is a fluency disorder characterized by a rapid and/or irregular speaking rate, excessive disfluencies, and often other symptoms such as language or phonological errors and attention deficits.' American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Yes! Treating cluttering involves changing how you plan and produce speech, and lots of practice.
