Trudy has over 20 years experience in voice, laryngeal function and swallowing assessment and therapy. She is dedicated to helping you improve your communication and swallowing challenges.

I am fortunate to work out of ENT rooms in Kogarah and Miranda which allows close collaboration for diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with issues relating to the larynx. This relationship also ensures my continued learning and enables the multidisciplinary approach which is so important in patient care.

What we do

Assessment and therapy for Communication and Swallowing

Communication and swallowing are two of the most important parts of human interaction. And they go hand in hand. At Trudy Lynch Speech Pathology, I focus on your needs. I believe communication is a basic element of humanity, one which we all have the right to. Communication is comprised of many different elements including (but not limited to) Voice, Speech and Fluency. My goal is to support you to communicate to your maximum potential and in a manner that represents YOU and enables you to fully participate in your life. As human beings, we connect through communication, frequently over food and/or drink. For those with both communication AND swallowing difficulties, connection and participation is doubly affected. I will work with whatever this means for you to help you have the best quality of life you can.

Experienced, Sole Therapist

As a sole therapist, you will always be seen by Trudy. Trudy has over 20 years experience in assessment and intervention for complex voice, speech and swallow difficulties. She feels fortunate to have developed her skills through a range of positions in tertiary teaching hospitals such as Royal North Shore and Liverpool, including Head and Neck cancer, ICU, Spinal unit, Burns, Stroke and Neurosurgery. Through this experience she understands the enormous value of a team and ensures she works closely with other health professionals involved in your care. These include, but are not limited to your GP, Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon, Audiologist, Dietitian, Dentist, Massage Therapist and Physio to ensure holistic and thorough diagnosis and treatment.

Evidence Based

Trudy uses current best practice evidence and tools to ensure the best outcomes for you. Intervention and goals are developed in partnership with clients and outcomes measured by client success. She is a member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), the Australian Voice Association (AVA), the Laryngology Society of Australia (LSA), The Voice Foundation (USA) and the NSW Voice Interest Group (VIG).
